SATO selected Yokofudori as the opening of this game and TOYOSHIMA accepted it . Replying TOSYOHIMA's 10.P*8g , SATO backed his Rook with 10...R-8d and SATO made MATSUO ryu Go-Ni Gyoku gata NAKAHRA gakoi .

TOYOSHIMA advanced the 1st file Pawn with 16.P-1e threatening the line with P-1d;Px1d , P*1b;Lx1b , B*2a . SATO moved up his left Silver with 16...S-2c to avoid the line . TOYOSHIMA exchanged the Bishops with 17.Bx3c+ and advanced the left Silver onto 7g .

SATO drove away TOYOSHIMA's Rook with 20...P-2e and started attacking with 21...P-7e .
