The 1st game of the Kisei sen title match between HABU Yoshiharu and SUGAI Tatsuya had started 9:00 A.M. (JST) , 5th July 2017 .

After pushing 9th file Pawns , SUGAI pushed 5th file Pawn with 3...P-5d , and he seemed to select Gokigen Nakabisha . But , he ranged his Rook with 4...R-3b making his original Sanken Bisha formation .

SUGAI exchanged his Rook with  5...Bx8h , and moved the Rook again with 7...R-2b , transposing  to Kakukoukan Furibisha . He made the mino gakoi with 11...S-7b  and pushed the Pawn with 13...P-8d to develop his kakoi to Ginkanmuri . But replying SUGAI's 13...P-8d , HABU dropped his Bishop with 15.B*6f to capture the 8d-Pawn . SUGAI sacrificed the Pawn  and aimed at HABU's Bishop .  HABU crashed the 5th file Pawn with 20.P-5f to make 8d-Bishop's way .

After the Pawn exchange in 5th file , SUGAI moved his Rook with 21...R-5a aiming at  HABU's 5f-Silver , and HABU also moved the Rook with 22.R-5h to defend the Silver .

Forced to back HABU's Silver by 22...P*5e  ,  SUGAI developed  his Mino gakoi to Ginkanmuri , HABU also started developing his Kakoi to Ibisha Anaguma . But before completed it , HABU attacked the 3rd file with 28.P-3e .

SUGAI advanced his left Gold to defend the 3rd file . HABU closed the hatch of the Ibisha Anaguma with 32.S-8h to finish making it , and SUGAI advanced the 4th file Pawn to start attacking .

During advanced the attacking pieces , SUGAI  developed his Kakoi again to Ginkanmuri Anaguma . They roughly attacked each other , and SUGAI's attack seemed more close to HABU's camp  .

By 4.R-5h , SUGAI selected Nakabisha as the opening of this game . Replying CHUZA's Bishop line open with 6...P-3d , SUGAI moved up his left Silver with 7.S-6h making Wanpaku Nakabisha formation .

CHUZA exchanged the Bishops and moved up his right Silver with 9...S-6d to disturb SUGAI's 5th file Pawn exchange . SUGAI made Kata mino gakoi and his attacking formation .

After the Silver exchange on 7e , CHUZA dropped a Bishop with 17...B*2d threatening SUGAI's camp . SUGAI dropped a Silver with 18.S*2e attacking the 2d-Bishop . CHUZA didn't let his Bishop escape , but dropped a Silver with 18...S*6h attacking SUGAI's Rook .

With 2.R-5h , SUGAI selected Nakabisha in this game . MURANAKA made Funa gakoi and SUGAI started making Anaguma gakoi . Replying MURANAKA's 8th file Pawn exchange , SUGAI exchanged the Bishops and swung the Rook with 13.R-8h facing both players' Rooks .

MURANAKA dropped a Pawn with 13...P*8g to decline a Rook exchange , SUGAI swung back his Rook with 14.R-5h . MURANAKA developed his camp and SUGAI started attacking in the 3rd file .

SUGAI advanced the 7th file Pawn with 2.P-7e and selected ISHIDA ryu opening in this game . MURATA moved up his right Silver with 4...S-6c to decline the 7th file Pawn exchange and exchanged the Bishops wiht 5...Bx8h+ .

SUGAI made Hon mino gakoi and MURATA dropped a Bishop with 21...B*4d aiming at both of the 5e-Pawn and the 7g-Knight .

SUGAI moved up his left Silver with 22.S-5f to protect the 5e-Pawn and MURATA pushed the 5th file Pawn with 22...P-5d to attack . SUGAI also dropped a Bishop with 23.B*6f to counter-attack .

After some moves , SHIMIZU exchanged the 8th file Pawns by her Bishop and SUGAI swung his Rook with 17.R-8h to counter-attack . SHIMIZU dropped a Pawn with 17...P*8e and SUGAI moved up the Bishop with 18.B-6f to decline the Bishop exchange .

SHIMIZU also backed her Bishop with 18...B-6d and dropped a Pawn with 19...P*8f to defend the 8th file .

KOYAMA developed his camp without pushing the 2nd file Pawn . SUGAI selected Gokigen Nakabisha in this game .

SUGAI advanced the 5th file Pawn with 3...P-5e making Gosuji Kuraidori Nakabisha formation . KOYAMA advanced his both Silver and ranged the Rook to get back the Kurai of the 5th file until 13.P*5e .

Both players slowly developed their each camp . SUGAI made Kata mino gakoi and KOYAMA started making Ibisha Anaguma . Replying KOYAMA's 27.K-9i , SUGAI pushed the 6th file Pawn to start attacking .

After the Bishop exchange , SUGAI dropped his one with 29...B*4g and made it promoted with 31.B-3h+ .

KOYAMA advanced the Pawns in 7th & 8th file , and ranged the Rook with 37.R-8i to attack SUGAI's Kakoi . KOYAMA attacked SUGAI's Kakoi for a while , but SUGAI's Pawn drop ...P*8h was too effective counter-attack for KOYAMA .
