Shogi News; YOKOYAMA beated the life time Meijin !

Shogi News; The 16th Ginga sen tournament .

A game of Ginga sen tournament between YOKOYAMA and NAKAHARA broadcasted 16 July 2008 .

YOKOYAMA led the opening to "ISHIDA ryu" and NAKAHARA accepted it by 2...P-8d . If Gote wants to decline "ISHIDA ryu" , he can selecte some ways ; 2...P-5d , 2...K-4b , 2...P-3e , 2...Bx8h+ . But NAKAHARA didn't select 3...P-8e , he declined the rough game; "Haya ISHIDA" , by this decision .

NAKAHARA made "Funa gakoi" and advanced it to "Hidari Mino gakoi" . YOKOYAMA made "Mino gakoi" , and he was making his attacking formation "ISHIDA ryu hongumi" step by step . But before YOKOYAMA finished making "ISHIDA ryu hongumi ", NAKAHARA started attacking with P-6e .


After 107 moves until R'3a , YOKOYAMA won this game .

Shogi News; Ginga sen; NAKAHARA won over HABU !!

Shogi News; The 15th Ginga sen H block .

A game of Ginga sen between HABU and NAKAHARA broadcasted 2 August 2008 .

Gote; NAKAHARA Makoto (16th-life-time-Meijin)

NAKAHRA led the opening to "Ittezon Kakukawari" . HABU moved G-7h before P-2e , this line is one of the most common reply against this opening . HABU pushed the 1st file Pawn ; P-1f , but NAKAHARA didn't reply P-1d , then HABU pushed P-1e .

HABU started attacking ; P-4e , and NAKAHARA immediatly replied counterattcking ; P-7e .

NAKAHARA is one of the most famous professional Shogi players , he get Meijin 15 times . YAMASAKI lead the opening " Yonteme san-san Kaku senpou ; 2...B-3c" . NAKAHARA exchange Bishops immediately 3. Bx3c+ .
After Bishop exchange , YAMASAKI has various choice that he can select .

YAMASAKI selected "Ibisha " with "Koshikakegin" , and NAKAHRA replied similer formation . But both player's camp has some difference ; the position of Rook's Pawn , left Silver , left Knight .




After 125 moves until S'4a , NAKAHARA won this game .
