This strategy is relatively very rare choice among professional shogi players . Instead of closed Nakabisha , Gokigen Nakabisha becomes more popular .

NISHIKAWA advanced his left Silver to 6d ; the shape of YAGURA ryu Nakabisha , and made Kata mino gakoi with 13...S-7b .

INABA started attacking the head of NISHIKAWA's Bishop with P-3e . Both players Rooks came to the 3rd file with 16.R-3h & 16...R-3b . After the Bishop exchange , INABA declined the Rook exchange with 22.P*3d .

After the 4th file Pawn sacrifice with 23...P-4f , NISHIKAWA dropped a Bishop with 24... B*4g forking 3f-Rook and 2i-Knight . INABA protected both pieces with 25.R-3i . INABA dropped a Bishop with 26.B*6f , aiming at NISHIKAWA's 1a-Lance and 2a-Knight .

Sacrificing a promoted Pawn , NISHIKAWA made his Bishop promoted with 27...B-3h+ . INABA aimed at 2a-Knight with 29.P*2b . Without replying the Pawn drop , NISHIKAWA threatened INABA's 6f-Bishop with 29...P-6d .

By dropping a Pawn with P*4g , NISHIKAWA forced INABA to move the Rook and make 2i-Knight unprotected . Exchanging INABA's 2 Pawns , 1 Knight and NISHIKAWA's Gold , INABA made a promoted Bishop , NISHIKAWA made a promoted Rook .
