When NODA pushed the 5th file Pawn with 2...P-5d , he seemed to select Gokigen Nakabisha in this game . However NODA's choice was old line with 3...P-5e ; used to be called "Tai Nakabisha Yokofudori " .

KANZAKI exchanged the 2nd file Pawns by his Rook and backed the Rook with 6.R-2h , without capturing the 3d-Pawn . Then the opening of this game became unorthodox flank game , so called Rikisen .

NODA advanced his right Silver and swung his Rook with 11...R-5b . KANZAKI also swung his Rook with 12.R-5h to defend the 5th file and after driving away NODA's 6e-Silver , he swung back the Rook with 16.R-2h

After some moves , NODA started attacking with 23...P-4e .

SATO completed Kata mino gakoi with 10...S-7b and advanced the left Silver with 11...S-5c sacrificing the 5e-Pawn . They roughly attacked each other .

NODA selected Aigakari as the opening of this game , and he jumped the left Knight with 11.N-7g to make Hineri Bisha form . However FUJIWARA didn't back his Rook with ...R-8b , but stayed on 8f-square to disturb NODA's ;P-7e .

NODA dropped a Pawn with 14.P*2d to start attacking . Replying NODA's 2nd file Pawn exchange , FUJIWARA opened the Bishop line with 15...P-3d and NODA pushed the 1st file Pawn with 16.P-1e to attack this file .

ITOU is famous for a "Kazaguruma senpou " player . "Kazaguruma" is a variation of "Nakabisha" . He also uese "Shin Kazaguruma" , it is a variation of "Migi Gyoku" . "Kazaguruma" and "Shin Kazaguruma" are a very similar strategy .

In this game , ITOU also selected "Shin Kazaguruma" . Closing Bishop line ; P-6f and making "Tsuno Gin " formation ; S-4g and S-6g , he advanced the camp move by move .

NODA prepared for both ITOU's "Ibisha" and "Furibisha" . He made "Hidari mino".
