With 4...Bx8h+ , ASADA selected Ittezon Kakukawari as the opening of this game . After moving up the King with 7.K-6h , INABA advanced his right Silver to 4f and made Hayakuri Gin attacking form . In the other hand , ASADA made Koshikakegin form with 10...S-5d .

INABA exchanged the 3rd file Pawns by his right Silver , and ASADA advanced the 8th file Pawn with 12...P-8e .

Replying ASADA's P-8e , INABA's King moved with K-7i . ASADA exchanged the 8th file Pawn . INABA exchanged the 2nd file Pawn's and Silvers in the 3rd file . Both player's Rooks returned to previous position with 18.R-2h and 18...R-8b.

INABA dropped a Pawn with 19.P*8c , forcing ASADA to give up one of the Rook's side power or forward power . ASADA captured the 8c-Pawn , in the same time the Rook lost the side power to defend . INABA dropped a Bishop with 20.B*5f aiming at both 8c-Rook and 2c-Pawn .

Sacrificing a promoted Bishop , INABA promoted his Rook with 23.R-3b+ . ASADA tried to defend and counterattack with dropping a Silver and a Bishop with 23...S-4a and 24...B*5e .
