NAKAI selected Yagura as the opening of this game , and TANAKA accepted it . But TANAKA didn't select the most popular line . He moved up his right Gold with 3...G6a-5b , and advanced his right Silver to 8d , making a Bougin attacking form .

NAKAI pushed the 9th file Pawn , to decline TANAKA's S-9e , and made Yagura gakoi . TANAKA was also making Yagura gakoi before started attacking . NAKAI exchanged the 3rd file Pawns , before TANAKA completed Yagura gakoi .

NAKAI moved up her right Silver with 17.S-3g . And she backed her left Silver with 18.S-8h to defend the 9th file .

Replying 18.S-8h , TANAKA advanced the 7th file and attacked here with 19...P-7e . NAKAI's Rook came to the 4th file , to join attacking . TANAKA's Rook also moved to 7b to join attacking in the 7th file .

NAKAI moved up her Bishop with 24.B-4f aiming at 9a-Lance , TANAKA pushed the 6th file Pawn to avoid it . After a Gold and a Silver exchange , TANAKA's Rook backed to 7e , and TANAKA had another a Silver and a Gold exchange in the 4th file . Replying NAKAI's 31.N-3g , TANAKA exchanged his Rook and NAKAI's 4f Bishop , and continued attacking .
