Shogi Game record : The 59th NHK cup TV Shogi tournament : pre-round


A shogi game of NHK cup preround between ISHIBASHI and YAUCHI was broadcasted 29 March 2009 .

ISHIBASHI selected Yagura as the opening of this game with 2.S-6h , and YAUCHI accepted it . The game developped a quiet line , so called Ai Yagura line . ISHIBASHI's move 10.P-2f made a game old tradisional .

ISHIBASHI selected San-Nana Ginsenpou with 14.S-3g , and YAUCHI replied Siver advance with 14...S-7c . ISHIBASHI exchanged the 3rd file Pawns with 15.P-3e and YAUCHI exchanged the 7th file Pawns with 16...P-7e . Then each player got 2 Pawns in hand . After some moves , both players advanced their Rook side Pawns . ISHIBASHI advanced the 1st file Pawn with P-1e , but kept 2nd file Pawn on 2f . In the other hand , YAUCHI advanced her Rook Pawn with P-8e . This difference between both players camps gave this game a great influence .

YAUCHI exchanged the Bishops with 24...Bx4f and advanced 6th file Pawn . After sacrificing one Pawn with 26...P-6e , YAUCHI dropped her Bishop in hand with 27...B*3i and promoted it with 28...B-8d+ . And in the same time , this Bishop drop forced ISHIBASHI to move the Rook away from effective position for attacking ;2h square . Then YAUCHI got a slight advantage .
