MAKINO selected Yagura as the opening of this game and SHIMIZU accepted it . The game naturally advanced a line of Ai Yagura , but SHIMIZU pushed the 6th file Pawn with 8...P-6d and ran along a minor line .

SHIMIZU made Migi Gyoku form with 12...K-6b and ranged her Rook with 19...R-2a to attack MAKINO's Rook .
