NAKAMURA selected Kakugawari as the opening of this game and HASHIMOTO accepted it . NAKAMURA made Koshikakegin form and HASHIMOTO also made Koshikakegin form .

HASHIMOTO advanced the 6th file with 16...P-6e to open a space of 6d square and NAKAMURA also advanced the 4th file Pawn . HASHIMOTO dropped a Bishop with 17...B*6d attacking the 2h-Rook . NAKAMURA also dropped a Bishop with 18.B*3g and HASHIMOTO exchanged the Bishops with 18...Bx3g+ .

After the Bishop exchange , HASHIMOTO dropped a Bishop again with 19...B*6d attacking the 3g-Knight . NAKAMURA defended the Knight with 20.G-4g and exchanged the 6th file Pawns .

NAKAMURA
ranged the Rook with 23.R-6h and pushed the 7th file Pawn with 24.P-7e to start attacking .
