Shogi News; The 16th Ginga sen tournament .

A game of Ginga sen tournament between MIURA and CHIBA broadcasted 23 August 2008 .

CHIBA led the opening "Yonteme san-san Kaku senpou"; 2...B-3c opening , and MIURA exchanged the Bishops immediately . CHIBA ranged his Rook to 4b ; "Shiken Bisha" .

In this formation , Gote needs additional Rook's move to use his Rook . One way of using Gote's Rook is move to 2b . Other way is to move the Rook 3d through 4d after pushing 4th and 3rd file to 5th rank . If Sente exchanges his Rook's Pawn , Gote will crush the Rook ; R-2b .

CHIBA choiced the first way ; R-2b , as a way of using his Rook , and he seemed preparing his castle making "Anaguma" . In the other hand , MIURA completed "Hidari mino " .
Suddenly CHIBA started attacking with "Ni-Go Kei pon"; Nx2e attack .


After 115 moves until S'8g , MIURA won this game .
