7:04 P.M. 8 March 2009 , after 121 moves , SATO won this game . The score of this match become "SATO 1 --- 2 KUBO" . Then SATO still need 2 continuous win without any lose to defend his title . In the other hand , KUBO need only 1 win before he lost 2 games to get the title .

SATO made Bonanza gakoi and KUBO completed Kata mino gakoi . KUBO advanced his left Gold and Knight . SATO started attacking with Bishop dropping on 4a square .
After some moves , SATO promoted his Rook and KUBO promoted his Bishop . In diagram 2 , SATO couldn't use his promoted Pawns and 1a Silver effectively and KUBO got a slight advantage .
