Yokofutori : Ai Yokofutori

Shogi Game record : The 59th NHK cup TV Shogi tournament

A shogi game of the NHK cup between YASHIKI and SATO Yasumitsu was broadcasted 25 October 2009 .

Until 3-G-7h , the game seemed to advance Kakukawari game . Although SATO didn't advanced the 8th file Pawn , but pushed the 9th file Pawn wtih 3...P-9d . After pushed the 9th & 1st file Pawns , SATO opened the Bishop line with 5...P-3d and the game transpositioned to Yokofutori game .

YASHIKI captured the 3d-Pawn with 10.Rx3d . After the Bishop exchange , SATO also captured the 7f-Pawn with 11...Rx7f and the game advanced a variation of Ai Yokofutori .

Replying YASHIKI's 12.S-7g , SATO slid his Rook with 12...R-2f attacking the 2i-Knight . Without 4...P-1d , YASHIKI would drop a Bishop with B*1e forking the 2f-Rook and the 5a-King . YASHIKI dropped a Pawn with 13.P*2h to defend the 2i-Knight .

Both players made Nakazumai & Kinbiraki formation . After some moves , YASHIKI started attacking in the 1st file with 22...P-1e .

YASHIKI attacked the 7th file aiming at the 7c-Knight's head . SATO also attacked in the 1st file . By using the Knights , SATO continued attacking .
