Shogi News; The 2nd Asahi cup shogi open tournament

A shogi game of Asahi cup shogi open between WATANABE and HABU started 15 December 2008 .

HABU selected "Ittezon Shift" as the opening of this game with 3...P-4d . WATANABE immediately advanced his Rook Pawn with P-2e to disturb HABU's making Yagura . If WATANABE didn't push P-2e , HABU could make Yagura gakoi naturaly with S-4b . HABU protected 4d Pawn with G-4c , WATANABE tried to exchange Bishop and 2nd file Pawn with B-6h .

Both Player developped their each camp . Just after HABU's B-5a , WATANABE exchanged 2nd file Pawn and Bishop . In this way , HABU cost useless one move . HABU made "Ginkanmuri" and WATANABE made "Yagura gakoi" . After some moves , WATANABE started attacking in front of HABU's King with P*2e .
