Shogi News : The 20th Jo-ryu Oi sen : 5 games title matcch


The 4th game of the 20th Jo-ryu Oi sen title match between ISHIBASHI and SHIMIZU started 9:00 A.M. 29 October 2009 at Himeji city , Hyogo .

6:56 P.M. 29 October 2009 , after 117 moves , ISHIBASHI won the 4th game of this match . The score of this match becomes "ISHIBASHI 2 --- 2 SHIMIZU" . Then the winner of next game will get the 20th Jo-ryu Oi title .

They are going to have next/last game 16 November 2009 , at Tokushima city , Tokushima .

ISHIBASHI selected 2.G4i-5h again . This move mainly has a meaning of counter plan against Yokofutori , Ittezon Kakukawari , Gote Migi Shiken Bisha .

SHIMIZU still pushed the 6th file Pawn 5.P-6d , but she didn't select Migi Shiken Bisha . SHIMIZU made Yagura gakoi . ISHIBASHI exchanged the 3rd file Pawns and developed her attacking form .

Just after ISHIBASHI completed her attacking form , SHIMIZU dropped a Pawn to attack ISHIBASHI's attacking pieces .

ISHIBASHI captured the 3e-Pawn by her Bishop . SHIMIZU pushed thee 6th file Pawn with 22...P-6e aiming at both the 3g-Knight and the 6th file . SHIMIZU succeeded promoting her Bishop 26...Bx3g+ attacking the 2h-Rook .

ISHIBASHI
's Rook escaped from the 3g-promoted Bishop , and SHIMIZU jumped her right Knight with N-7c aiming at the 6e-Pawn . ISHIBASHI's King entered Yagura gakoi without protecting the 6e-Pawn .

SHIMIZU
moved up her left Silver with 28...S-4d , attacking the 3e-Bishop forcing the Bishop to back . SHIMIZU dropped a Knight with 29...N*2f attacking ISHIBASHI's Rook .

ISHIBASHI's Rook escaped with 30.R-5h and SHIMIZU made a promoted Knight with 30...N-3h+ .

SHIMIZU attacked ISHIBASHI's camp with 31...Nx6e , 33...P*6e . ISHIBASHI exchanging the Bishop with the 4d-Silver . ISHIBASHI dropped a Pawn & a Knight with 38.P*3c & 43.N*4d attacking SHIMIZU's Kakoi directly .
