Shogi News : The 22nd Ryuo sen : 7 games title match

7:19 P.M. 15 October 2009 , after 126 moves , WATANABE won the 1st game of this match . The score of this match becomes "WATANABE 1 --- 0 MORIUCHI" .

They are going to have next game 28 & 29 October 2009 at Hotel New Otani , Takaoka city , Toyama .

WATANABE backed his 4d-Silver with 26...S-3c to make the game quiet as possible . MORIUCHI also backed his 6f-Silver with 27.S-7g to fasten his camp .

After pushing the 9th file Pawn , WATANABE floated his Rook with 28...R-8e aiming at the 9th file and the 2e-Pawn . MORIUCHI pushed the 7th file Pawn to block the 8e-Rook's side power . WATANABE captured the Pawn with 29...Rx7e . Although WATANABE got a Pawn , but his Rook had a bad position .

MORIUCHI jumped his right Knight to protect the 2e-Pawn . WATANABE's Rook returned to 8e . MORIUCHI advanced the 7g-Silver with 31.S-7f aiming at the 8e-Rook . WATANABE's Rook escaped from the Silver with 31...R-8b .

MORIUCHI dropped a Bishop with 32.B*7g to add one more attacking piece . WATANABE advanced the 7th file Pawn with 32...P-7d threatening the 7g-Bishop's head without defending the 4th file .

MORIUCHI dropped a Pawn with 33.P*4d and started attacking WATANABE's camp . After some moves , WATANABE dropped a Silver with 38...S*5e and his camp seemed to have safety shape .

MORIUCHI still tried to continue attacking . Until 44.Nx3c+ , MORIUCHI completely broke WATANABE's camp , but WATANABE also had an attacking turn . WATANABE dropped a Rook with 46...R*4i and attacked around MORIUCHI's King with 47...P-7e .
