A shogi game of the Asahi cup 2nd pre-round between MATSUO and SHIMIZUKAMI (amateur) started 10:00 A.M. 8 November 2009 .

SHIMIZUKAMI selected Gokigen Nakabisha as the opening of this game . MATSUO moved up his right Silver with 4.S-4h and allowed SHIMIZUKAMI to make Gosuji kuraidori Nakabisha form .

MATSUO made Funa gakoi with 9.G4i-5h . After King's move to 7b , SHIMIZUKAMI pushed the 5th file Pawn 9...P-5f to exchange the Pawns . MATSUO pushed the 6th file Pawn with P-6f to make the game quiet by closing the Bishop line .

After the 5th file Pawn exchange , MATSUO advanced the right Silver with 14.S-6f and fortified his Kakoi . MATSUO advanced the other Silver with 17.S-5f and strongly supported the 5th & 6th Kurai .

SHIMIZUKAMI made Anaguma gakoi and MATSUO made Yagura gakoi . After some moves , MATSUO pushed the 4th file Pawn with 24.P-4e to exchange the Pawns .

After the 4th file Pawn exchange , MATSUO jumped the right Knight with 26.N-3g to join the battle . SHIMIZUKAMI backed the Bishop with 26...B-2b to open the 4d-Silver's back route . MATSUO dropped a Pawn with 27.P*4e forcing the 4d-Silver to back .

MATSUO used his Bishop with 28.B-6h & 29.B-4f . Replying SHIMIZUKAMI's 29...G-4b , MATSUO started attacking with 30.P-2d . After some moves attack , MATSUO succeeded to make a promoted Silver and made SHIMIZUKAMI's Rook useless . Sacrificing a Rook , MATSUO dropped a Gold with 45.G*6b and certainly attacked SHIMIZUKAMI's Kakoi .
