Shogi News : SATOMI beated SHIMIZU in ISHIDA ryu game .

Shogi News : The 36th Jo-ryu Meijin sen ; 5 games title match

4:04 P.M. , 24 January 2009 , after 97 moves , SATOMI won the 1st game of the Jo-ryu Meijin sen title match . The score of this match becomes "SHIMIZU 0 --- 1 SATOMI" .

The 2nd of this title match will start 31 January 2009 , at SEKINE Meijin Kinenkan , Noda city , Chiba .

With 2.P-7e , SATOMI selected Haya ISHIDA opening in this game . SHIMIZU allowed SATOMI to make Haya ISHIDA formation with 3.R-7h . Before an advance of the 8th file Pawn , SHIMIZU moved up her right Silver with 4...S-6c to decline the 7th file Pawn exchange .

SATOMI pushed the 6th file Pawn with 5.P-6f closing her Bishop line and advanced her left Silver to 7g . SHIMIZU advanced the 8th file Pawn with 10...P-8e , SATOMI floated her Rook with 11.R-7f to protect the 8th file .

SHIMIZU moved up her right Gold with 11...G-7b and shown her attitude to make Bou Kin attacking formation . SATOMI completed Hon mino gakoi with 16.G6i-5h and SHIMIZU started attacking with 16...P-8f .

SATOMI naturally captured the 8f-Pawn with 17.Px8f , because other reply would give SATOMI a bad position . (17.Rx8f G-8e , or 17.Bx8f G-8e ) After sacrificed the 7th file Pawn with 17...P-7d , SHIMIZU slid her Rook with 18...R-7b .

SATOMI backed her Rook with 19.B-5i to open the 7f-Rook's escape route . Replying SHIMIZU's Pawn capture with 19...Gx7d , SATOMI's Pawn advance 20.P-8d was a very effective move . SHIMIZU advanced the 7d-Gold with 20...G-7e and tried to continue attack SATOMI's Rook .

After some moves , SATOMI succeeded to make a promoted Pawn and exchange the Rooks . After this Rook exchange , SHIMIZU's 7g-Gold became unprotected , and she dropped a Rook with 28...R*7h to protect the Gold .

SHIMIZU made a promoted Bishop and tried to use it for defense , but SATOMI used Pawns to disturb using the promoted Bishop . After some moves , SATOMI dropped a Lance with 41.L*2f to attack SHIMIZU's King from the front .
