The final game of Daiwa Shoken cup , Saikyou sen between KIMURA and YAMASAKI started 2 August 2009 .

YAMASAKI selected Yonteme Kyu-Yon Fu senpou with 2...P-9d , in this game . KIMURA naturally advanced his Rook Pawn with 3.P-2e . YAMASAKI advanced the 9th file Pawn with 3...P-9e without protecting the 2nd file .

After KIMURA moved up his right Gold with 4.G4i-5h , YAMASAKI exchanged the Bishops with 4...B-8h+ , and advanced his left Silver to 3c protecting the 2nd file . Then YAMASAKI turned his Rook to 2b , making SATO ryu direct Mukai Bisha form .

KIMURA dropped a Bishop with 8.B*6e aiming at both of the 4c & 8c Pawns . YAMASAKI also dropped a Bishop with 8...B*7d to defend . KIMURA captured the 4c-Pawn promoting the Bishop , with 9.Bx4c+ . YAMASAKI moved up his right Gold with 9...G6a-5b to kill the 4c-promoted Bishop . KIMURA also killed YAMASAKI's 7d-Bishop with 10.P-7e . And they exchanged the Bishops again .

After some moves ,YAMASAKI turned back his Rook to 7b threatening uncovered 7g-Silver and made Yagura gakoi . KIMURA made Koshikakegin form and turned his Rook to 4h . And KIMURA advanced the 6th file and crushed it with YAMASAKI's 6d-Pawn to make a defect in YAMASAKI's camp . Without capturing KIMURA's 6th file Pawn , YAMASAKI prepared a counter-attack .

After sacrificing the 4th file Pawn with 24.P-4c+ , KIMURA jumped his right Knight to join attacking . KIMURA attacked YAMASAKI's camp for a while with sacrificing his Bishop . YAMASAKI dropped a Bishop slowly preparing a counter-attack .
