Shogi News : SHIMIZU got the 20th Jo-ryu Oi . (Jo-ryu Oi sen)

Shogi News : The 20th Jo-ryu Oi sen ; 5 games title match

The 5th / last game of the Jo-ryu Oi sen title match between ISHIBASHI and SHIMIZU started 9:00 A.M. 16 November 2009 at Hotel Clement Tokushima , Tokushima city , Tokushima .

After 124 moves , SHIMIZU won the game . The score of this match becomes "ISHIBASHI 2 --- 3 SHIMIZU" , and SHIMIZU gets the 20th Jo-ryu Oi title .

ISHIBASHI selected 2.G-4i-5h again . ISHIBASHI closed her Bishop line with 4.P-6f and started making Kin Yagura . SHIMIZU turned her Bishop to 7c threatening the 2h-Rook .

SHIMIZU moved up her right Silver with 14...S-5d making Koshikakegin form . ISHIBASHI slid her threatened Rook with 15.R-5h aiming at the 5d-Silver . ISHIBASHI pushed the 5th file Pawn with 16.P-5e forcing the 5d-Silver to back . SHIMIZU's camp became Gin Yagura with 16...S-4c.

ISHIBASHI exchanged the 3rd file Pawns and developed her attacking formation . SHIMIZU made her attacking form Yonte Kaku attacking form . After the King's entering castle , ISHIBASHI started attacking with 26.N-2e .

Sacrificing a Bishop , ISHIBASHI broke the 1st file of SHIMIZU's camp until 38.Lx1c+ . But during this attack , ISHIBASHI gave SHIMIZU some pieces . SHIMIZU used these pieces for attacking . SHIMIZU's Pawn drops drove ISHIBASHI's Rook .

After some moves , both player captured the Rook each other . SHIMIZU's promoted Bishop captured ISHIBASHI's King side Gold , the most important defence piece with 45...+Bx7h .
