Shogi News : SATOMI won the 1st game . (Kurashiki Touka)

Shogi News : The 17th Kurashiki Touka sen ; 3 games title match



The 1st game of the 17th Kurashiki Touka sen title match between SATOMI and NAKAMURA Marika started the morning of 11 November 2009 .

After pushing the 9th file Pawn with 2.P-9f , SATOMI advanced her 7th file Pawn for making Haya ISHIDA formation . NAKAMURA pushed the 5th file Pawn with 3...P-5d forcing SATOMI to push the 6th file Pawn . If SATOMI still select 4.R-7h without P-6f , she would lose an advantage . After closing the Bishop line with 4.P-6f , SATOMI turned her Rook with 5.R-7h , making her form Sanken Bisha . After moving up the left Silver with 5...S-5c , NAKAMURA also made Sanken Bisha form with 6...R-3b .

SATOMI made a frame of Hon mino gakoi and exchanged the 7th file Pawns . While NAKAMURA was making Kin musou , SATOMI turned her Rook with 14.R-2f threatening the 2c-Pawn . In order to protect the Pawn , NAKAMURA's Rook came to a bad position .

After the King's move to 3i , SATOMI moved up her Bishop with B-9g facing NAKAMURA's Bishop . After the Bishop exchange , NAKAMURA immediately dropped a Bishop with 17...B*3a attacking the 9g-Lance and avoiding SATOMI's Bishop drop on 2b .

SATOMI turned her Rook with 22.R-9f to protect the 9g-Lance . NAKAMURA completed her Kin musou with 22...G6a-6b . Replying NAKAMURA's 3rd file Pawn exchange , SATOMI developped her Hon Mino gakoi to Taka mino gakoi .

SATOMI advanced her left Silver with 28.S-6f threatening NAKAMURA's 5d-Silver . NAKAMURA moved up her Bishop with 28...B-2b to save the Silver . SATOMI's Pawn drop on 3c was a good move ! Any replies against 29.P*3c would make some defects in NAKAMURA's camp . After sacrificing a Pawn with 29...P*3g , NAKAMURA captured the 3c-Pawn with 30...Bx3c .

SATOMI dropped a Bishop with 31.B*4a to attack NAKAMURA's attacking pieces . NAKAMURA jumped her 1c-Knight with 34...N-2e for an attack . SATOMI dropped a Pawn with 35.P*3g to decline NAKAMURA's Pawn drop on 3g .
